Logic (online)

An introduction to logic, the branch of philosophy that is concerned with the principles of correct reasoning. Logic is the toolbox of philosophy and (with mathematics) of theoretical science. Thinking well is thinking logically. This course will introduce the main areas of logic, and focus on classical and modern (formal) deductive logic and how those tools can be used in practice.

Lajos Brons

Lajos Brons (石橋ラヨス) has taught philosophy courses at Lakeland’s Japan campus from 2012 until he moved to Sado island in 2024. He has published journal articles and books about a variety of philosophical topics. His most recent book is A Buddha Land in This World: Philosophy, Utopia, and Radical Buddhism (Punctum Books, 2022).
